PlayStation starts today selling VR Glasses

PlayStation VR born in 2014 under the name of Project Morpheus and since then the Japanese technology has taken his device of virtual reality for dozens of trade fairs around the world, where "hundreds of thousands of players" have tried and have helped shape their development.

"This approach is quite unusual in the creation of a device: as users we were giving their opinion, we were going modifying and adapting experiences. We changed many aspects of the ergonomics of the device thanks to those views, "he explains in an interview with EFE, the director of immersive technology of Sony Worldwide Studios, Simon Benson.

Oculus and HTC also resorted to this process of trial and error because virtual reality is a particular and different technology: isolates the user and embarks on immersive experiences. Thus, these stagings helped reduce the effect of dizziness detected in the early stages and to better define the actual contents.

"The goal of VR is PlayStation introduce people into a new world of immersive game. (...) It is a simple, intuitive and accessible interface that opens the game to new audiences, "said Benson.

Unlike its competitors, PlayStation VR works linked to the PlayStation 4 console and not a computer, a feature that Sony is using as a stimulus because the combination of both devices is cheaper than most PC combo Oculus or more lives.

Beyond price, the key point to curdle technology will be the content it offers. In 2016, PlayStation VR will have 50 titles and more than one hundred developing: there will be action experiences, solving puzzles, driving, creatures care and travel to alien worlds.
